Dave - forgive me if you know this - the problem with high ISO is that it creates what's called digital noise. Zoom in on your photo and you'll see it, a "speckly" appearance when you zoom in (or crop a lot). If it doesn't bother you then don't worry, snap away at high ISO, but its something the professionals try to keep to a minimum.
